Mariano Faz, Vice President TFG Asset Management

A highly experienced hotel industry professional with close to two decades in the business, Mariano Faz oversees TFG Asset Management’s fast-expanding portfolio of hotel and residential real estate assets. Mariano has been involved in several high-level real estate negotiations from both an owner and management perspective and has also advised on major hospitality and mixed-used projects worth more than US$2 billion in countries including the UAE, Oman, Bahrain and KSA. He holds several qualifications including a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Political Science and an MBA, Master’s in Finance. Mariano is an active HAMA (Hotel Asset Management Association) member and also is part of the HSMAI (Hotels Sales & Marketing Association International) Advisory Board.

Hani Mansour, Senior Hotel Asset Manager

Hani has more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry working in senior management positions for the likes of Intercontinental Hotels, Hilton, Accor, Rotana and Citymax Hotels. Prior to joining The First Group, Hani served as General Manager of Pinnacle Holding’s Hospitality division. A British national, Hani holds qualifications in hospitality management from New York’s prestigious Cornell University and Les Roches Hotel Management School in Switzerland, where he earned his Diploma in Hotel Management.

Anthony Lagrabette, Asset & Revenue Manager

Anthony Lagrabette joined The First Group Asset Management team as an Asset & Revenue Manager in July 2018. From his first days in the hotel industry with Novotel, Anthony’s growing interest for hospitality management and strategy for offline & online distribution led him to his current role.  Graduating from a Master’s Degree at Oxford Brookes University, with majors in Hotel Management, International Marketing and Internet Strategy was the starting point for his passion for Strategic Hotel Distribution and was the pathway for his specialisation into Revenue Management.  Starting his career at Accor Hotels, Anthony held Revenue Manager roles in Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi as well as being involved in the hotel openings for Sofitel Hotels & Resorts.

Lucca Martin, Asset Analyst at TFG Asset Management

Lucca’s diverse professional experience extends from hotel operations and asset management to data analytics, operational feasibility and property valuations. As an asset analyst, Lucca provides insight into the operational performance of properties within TFG Asset Management’s portfolio, and works closely with the operations teams of our managed assets, helping them develop operational policies and procedures. Lucca holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Hospitality Management from Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL).

Danny Lubert, Founder & Senior Partner

Danny’s vast experience of major global property markets and aptitude for detecting opportunities in key emerging markets has proven key to The First Group’s growth to date. Under his guidance, the group of companies has expanded its presence in major markets including the United Kingdom, Spain, Cyprus, South East Asia, West Africa, CIS countries, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. With a background in commerce and mathematics, Danny specialises in financial structuring, acquisition and marketing.

Rob Burns, Chief Executive Officer

Rob is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University where he studied Business, Marketing, and Hotel & Resort Management. His career in property development began 1986 and spans the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, CIS, Africa and the Middle East. He has a diverse background in a wide array of disciplines including the direction of sales and marketing operations, brand advertising, database marketing, direct mail, telesales, print and public relations, as well as extensive interactive experience. Having worked with major global institutions, Rob began his journey with The First Group as Chief Marketing Officer prior to being promoted to Chief Executive Officer.

Rashad Barajakly, Managing Partner & Chief Investment Officer

Rashad brings with him a wealth of expertise drawing from a strong background in finance and investment banking in the United States and Dubai. He held senior positions in New York and Atlanta before joining Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). From there he went on to assist in the launch of DIFX and later furthered his banking career by working with NBK Capital and boutique investment companies. His experience of operations and finance across the private and public sectors makes him an extremely valuable asset.

Amr Al Bawab, Chief Construction Officer

Amr joined The First Group in March 2008, bringing with him more than 25 years’ experience working for major multinational firms. Educated in the United States, Amr’s career in construction spans a variety of disciplines and positions. As Chief Construction Officer, Amr manages The First Group’s complex development timeline, ensuring projects are planned and executed to the highest standards.
