After the success of the first year, Resort Development and Hospitality, an exclusive Marcus Evans event, held a two days hospitality conference on the 8th and 9th of February at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort in Dubai. Key influential hoteliers were invited to the event to share and discuss the future opportunities that encompass expansion of the world-class hotels and resorts. Event highlights included opening presentation on how to devise effective pre-opening strategies by TFG Asset Management and a panel of four industry executives discussing the owner-operator relationship and influence on building an Empire of Hospitality Properties.

TFG Asset Management, commenced the day with an interesting topic outlining strategies to develop successful pre-opening tactics in a timely and efficient manner. The presentation identified ten key-points to ensure smooth pre-opening phase. Priority is placed on the agreed opening date, which, - if not well-respected, can be the cause of stress and loss of confidence in owner-operator relationship as well as an increased pre-opening budget. The second emphasis was put on the licensing requirements and its timely approval concern, which is also one of the biggest challenges for any hotel operator. TFG Asset Management was able to provide effective and specific advice on controlling the situation. The Marcus Evans event attendees were encouraged to contribute to the discussion. Issues, such as the process and timeframe of submitting opening budget, cooperativeness in getting licenses approved and some common mistakes hoteliers make at the opening stage, were raised and addressed during the discussion. Panel discussion on the hotel management contracts as well as the relationship between the hotel owner and hotel operator, indicated strong interest among the participants. Invited panelists emphasized the crucial role and importance of Hotel Asset Management companies, such as TFG Asset Management, to balance and align the interests between the hotel owner and operator.

The topics, covered during the hospitality conference, were received with enthusiasm as industry professionals continued to network and discuss the pipeline of the key projects and development strategies after the plenary ended. The event was eye-opening and highly engaging. TFG Asset Management looks forward to participating, showcasing and exchanging more revolutionary ideas with influential hospitality experts in the coming year.
